Renato Zero — Autoritratto, Palazzo dello Sport, Rome, 2024

Capture of a full concert by Renato Zero at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome, as part of the 2024 “Autoritratto – I Concerti Evento” series. A monumental figure of Italian popular song since the 1970s, Renato Zero presents the thirteen tracks of his album “Autoritratto” interwoven with his greatest hits, across a show of around three hours. For the occasion, the Roman singer surrounds himself with a large ensemble — orchestra, brass section and choir — giving this live a near-symphonic scale. The capture conveys the singular bond between the artist and his Roman audience, as well as the showmanship of a performer who has always conceived the concert as a total art, blending theatre, variety and intimate confession. For the Italian-song enthusiast, this full concert is a precious document on one of the last great voices of the transalpine scene, able to fill palasport several nights running. A filmed live concert that bears witness to an extraordinary career.
