The Red Clay Strays — Red Rocks, 2025
Why this recording
Tenth in the running order is “Between the Lines”, a song written by the band's guitarist Drew Nix, slipped in among the Red Clay Strays' own material. This is the 15 September 2025 show, the second of two nights at Red Rocks on the Get Right tour, posted on the band's channel eleven days later. The description notes that Brandon Coleman was sick and losing his voice that night, worth keeping in mind across the twenty-two songs, through “Wondering Why” and on to the closer, “No One Else Like Me”.

A full concert filmed in 2025 at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, this live capture presents The Red Clay Strays, an American band from Mobile, Alabama, a revelation of the 2020s americana and roots scene. This is the second night of their “Live from Red Rocks Vol. 2” residency, two sold-out shows where the band headlined this iconic venue for the first time. Blending folk, country-soul, gospel and Southern rock, the quintet unfolds a repertoire carried by the soulful voice of singer Brandon Coleman, between poignant ballads and more rousing numbers, with the debut of new songs and a few glimpses backstage. Filmed in the grandiose setting of the red rocks, this full show conveys the infectious energy of a band on the rise. A reference live capture, to watch online, to discover the renewal of American roots music on one of the most beautiful natural stages in the world.
