Dasha Rush — Stone Techno Festival, 2023

Live set by Dasha Rush at the Stone Techno Festival 2023, filmed and broadcast by ARTE Concert in Germany. A DJ, producer and experimental sound artist, Dasha Rush is known for her raw, hypnotic sets that send ravers into a trance. Her world draws on dub, ambient and the most physical techno, moving between intensity, brutality and a floating softness, in line with her research for the Raster-Noton label. This capture of about one hour twenty-five documents a demanding performance, where the building of peaks and the texture of the sound take precedence over immediate effect. Filmed with the care typical of ARTE Concert, this full set offers high-quality picture and mixing, ideal for appreciating the artistic dimension of contemporary techno. A reference document for fans of cutting-edge electronic music and live performance, to be heard for the coherence of an approach that pushes club music toward sound art. Captured outdoors in a post-industrial setting emblematic of Germany’s techno culture, the set gains an added sense of place and ritual.
