Tim Bernardes — Tiny Desk (NPR), Washington, 2026

Live concert filmed in 2026 for NPR’s Tiny Desk in Washington, as part of “El Tiny,” with Brazilian singer-songwriter Tim Bernardes. Solo, voice and guitar, the São Paulo musician — also a member of the band O Terno — performs four songs: “Praga,” “Poeira Cósmica,” “Realmente Lindo” and “Eu Vou.” Heir to the great tradition of MPB (música popular brasileira), Bernardes unfolds a delicate songwriting blending saudade, cosmic poetry and introspection, carried by guitar playing of great harmonic finesse. His way of dancing almost imperceptibly as he plays, and of conveying emotion through the mere breath of his voice, makes this performance a suspended moment. The capture, sober and intimate, highlights the precision of the performance and the melodic richness of the repertoire. A filmed live concert ideal for discovering the new Brazilian scene, the finesse of contemporary MPB and a singular voice in Latin American music, far from spectacular formats.
