Henrik Freischlader — Little Big Beat Studios, 2022

Filmed studio live session by German blues guitarist Henrik Freischlader, recorded at Little Big Beat Studios in Eschen, Liechtenstein, on 21–22 November 2022. Renowned for playing inspired by the great blues-rock masters, Freischlader performs here as a quartet — vocals and guitar, joined by Hardy Fischötter on drums, Armin Alic on bass and Moritz Fuhrhop on Hammond organ — for a “Studio Live Session” with no audience, later released on double vinyl and CD. The set runs through his own compositions — “Disappointed Women,” “Longer Days,” “Free,” “Lost Souls” — and peaks on a long reworking of the standard “The Sky Is Crying.” The format highlights the recording’s sonic quality, the depth of the groove and the expressiveness of both his singing and his solos.
