-M- — Accor Arena (Bercy), Paris, 2023

A full concert film by -M-, alias Matthieu Chedid, at the Accor Arena (Bercy) in Paris in June 2023, during the “Rêvalité” tour that drew 1.2 million spectators. Shot in 4K and first screened in cinemas in December 2023, this 2h25 full concert is a celebration of collective joy. On stage, -M- is surrounded by bassist and singer Gail Ann Dorsey and the “Mogodo’s”: Corentin Pujol on keys, Fabrice Colombani on percussion, Maxime Garoute on drums and Feal Cool Jazz on saxophone. Many guests join the artist, from Vanessa Paradis to Ibrahim Maalouf, along with Nach, Billie and Joseph Chedid and Guillaume Canet. The set unfurls -M-‘s major songs — “Onde sensuelle,” “La Seine,” “Machistador,” “Superchérie,” “Mama Sam” — in a teeming, generous staging. A filmed live concert to savour for fans of French chanson, pop-rock and inventive live performance, and a lavish document of one of France’s most distinctive live artists at arena scale.
