A live concert filmed in March 2026 for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk in Washington, this capture presents Mumford & Sons, the British folk band, thirteen years after a first missed appointment with the show. Around singer Marcus Mumford, pianist Ben Lovett and bassist Ted Dwane, the London trio — joined by banjo player Matt Menefee and a string quartet — draws on its sixth album, Prizefighter, as well as its historic repertoire. The session opens with I’ll Tell You Everything, continues with White Blank Page, from their debut album Sigh No More (2009), before closing on Prizefighter tracks including Badlands, played live for anyone for the very first time. The Tiny Desk’s stripped-back format highlights the vocal harmonies and the warm dimension of their acoustic folk, between banjo, piano and strings. A reference folk concert, to watch online, to rediscover Mumford & Sons in an intimate setting, far from the scale of their stadium shows.
