Live full concert of flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2006, the festival’s first edition at the Ahoy arena in Rotterdam. A towering figure of flamenco guitar and a pioneer of its dialogue with jazz, the Andalusian master performs with his band while touring behind his final studio album, “Cositas Buenas” (2004). On stage, his blistering picado, deep sense of compás and melodic lyricism distil half a century spent reinventing flamenco — from his legendary partnership with singer Camarón de la Isla to fusion summits with Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin. Filmed eight years before his death in 2014, this performance is a precious live document of the artist in full maturity. A must-watch for the harmonic richness of his falsetas, the rhythmic drive of the cajón and the intensity of a maestro at his peak. Keywords: Paco de Lucía live, flamenco concert, North Sea Jazz 2006, full concert, flamenco guitar.
