Pink Floyd — Earls Court, London (Pulse), 1994

On 20 October 1994, Pink Floyd closed their worldwide Division Bell tour at London’s Earls Court, and this live recording forms the backbone of the « Pulse » album and film. Led by David Gilmour, with Nick Mason on drums and Richard Wright on keyboards, the band delivers a filmed concert of more than two hours, famed for its lighting design and circular screen. The second half presents « The Dark Side of the Moon » in full, from « Speak to Me » to « Eclipse » — a rare live rendering of the complete album. The first half draws on later material (« Learning to Fly », « High Hopes », « Sorrow ») and classics (« Shine On You Crazy Diamond », « Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2 »). The set closes with « Wish You Were Here », « Comfortably Numb » and « Run Like Hell ». Carried by a section of additional musicians and backing vocalists, this Pink Floyd live at Earls Court in 1994 remains a reference point for the filmed concert and for 1990s progressive rock at its most immersive and expansive.
