The Armed — Live on KEXP, Seattle, 2025

Live session by American collective The Armed recorded at the KEXP studios in Seattle on 16 September 2025. A shape-shifting band out of Detroit, The Armed blurs the lines between hardcore, noise rock and experimental pop, with frontal energy and a deliberately elusive identity. For this filmed capture, the group runs through four songs — « Kingbreaker », « Well Made Play », « Broken Mirror » (featuring Moe of Prostitute) and a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ « Somewhat Damaged » — carried by Tony Wolski on vocals, Max Frank on guitar, Ken Szymanski on bass, Patrick Shiroishi on keys, sax and guitar, and Abbas Muhammad on drums. KEXP’s careful sound and direction highlight the band’s density in live-studio conditions. An ideal document for discovering a cult act of today’s American independent rock scene. Live concert video, rock and hardcore, live studio session.
