Founded in 1968 in the San Francisco Bay Area, the group is an institution of funk and soul, famous for its horn section, the Tower of Power Horns. Led by saxophonist and founder Emilio Castillo and baritone Stephen « Doc » Kupka, the line-up features drummer David Garibaldi, singer Marcus Scott and numerous guests and alumni for the occasion. The high-definition recording highlights the rhythmic precision and horn power that built the band’s reputation.
