Tribal Seeds — California Roots Festival, 2015

Full live set by Tribal Seeds captured at the California Roots Music & Arts Festival (6th edition) in Monterey, California, in May 2015, and released via the festival’s official channel. Hailing from San Diego, Tribal Seeds are a major figure of Californian reggae, marrying Jamaican roots, deep bass, dub keyboards and rock textures. This capture documents their entire set on one of the Cali Roots stages, a reference event of the US reggae scene. Across the songs, hypnotic grooves, catchy riddims and positive messages unfold, carried by a polished live performance and a fine communion with the Californian crowd. A testament to the rise of West Coast reggae in the 2010s, this filmed live concert illustrates the craft of a band that exported a modern, organic version of the genre. Filed under reggae, it will appeal both to fans of traditional roots and to those curious about the American scene. Savour it in full for the atmosphere and the quality of the capture.
