Festival Nacional de Cante Flamenco de Ogíjares — 2026

Live capture of the complete gala of the 47th Festival Nacional de Cante Flamenco de Ogíjares, at the Parque San Sebastián in Ogíjares, near Granada, Spain, on 5 September 2026, released by the town hall. This edition pays tribute to the great Granada singer Enrique Morente and brings together some of the major figures of flamenco cante, toque and baile. Singing in turn are Pedro “El Granaíno,” María Terremoto, Jesús Méndez, Ezequiel Benítez and Antonia Contreras, accompanied on guitar by Patrocinio Hijo, Nono Jero, Pepe del Morao, Paco León and Juan Ramón Caro, while dancer Fuensanta “La Moneta” lights up the baile. Nearly five hours of live flamenco restore the diversity of the palos, from the deepest cante jondo to more festive forms, carried by the fervor of an audience of aficionados. This filmed live concert, one of Ogíjares’s great cultural events, is a precious document for discovering the excellence of contemporary Andalusian flamenco and the transmission of an art inscribed in intangible heritage, in the thick of 2026.
