Vicente Amigo — Jazz à Sète, Théâtre de la Mer, 2022

Filmed concert by Spanish guitarist Vicente Amigo at the Jazz à Sète festival, at the Théâtre de la Mer on the French Mediterranean coast. An heir to Paco de Lucía and regarded as one of the greatest flamenco guitarists of his generation, Vicente Amigo combines technical virtuosity, melodic lyricism and a spirit of openness — from traditional flamenco to jazz and symphonic horizons. In the splendid setting of the Théâtre de la Mer, facing the Mediterranean, this live capture highlights the purity of his touch, the depth of his compositions and the rapport with his musicians (cante, percussion, second instrument). The Jazz à Sète festival, known for its demanding programming and unique setting, offers an ideal showcase for music that is at once scholarly and incandescent. The full concert video is a valuable document for flamenco-guitar lovers. Worth discovering for the finesse of the playing, the emotion on every string and the restrained intensity of a filmed live concert by a master of the Spanish guitar, in one of France’s most beautiful festival venues.
