Full show of the Hip Hop 50 Live concert, recorded on 11 August 2023 at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx — the day and birthplace marking fifty years of hip-hop. This filmed live concert brings together on one stage some of the genre’s biggest names for a historic celebration of hip-hop culture. Led by Run-DMC, the night gathered Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ice Cube, T.I., Fat Joe, Common, EPMD, Ghostface Killah, Lupe Fiasco and Slick Rick, with themed segments dedicated to the “Queens of Hip Hop” (Eve, Lil’ Kim, Remy Ma, Trina) and to the genre’s pioneers (Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Melle Mel, The Sugarhill Gang). This full-show capture documents the event at the Bronx stadium, cradle of the movement. An essential live document for reliving a night where several generations of rap took the stage in New York to mark half a century of hip-hop history.
