John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers — North Sea Jazz Festival, 1994

Full live concert by John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers at the North Sea Jazz Festival on Sunday 10 July 1994, on the Statenhal stage of the Congresgebouw in The Hague (Netherlands). Nicknamed the ‘godfather of British blues’, John Mayall (1933-2024) led, for six decades, a band-cum-school through which some of the greatest names in blues and blues rock passed, from Eric Clapton to Mick Taylor and Peter Green. This live captation, unearthed from the archives, shows him in fine form in the mid-1990s, on vocals, guitar and harmonica, surrounded by his Bluesbreakers. Between electric shuffles, poignant ballads and long improvised passages, this filmed full concert restores the groove science and stage warmth of an artist who shaped the history of the blues. A precious document for fans of blues and blues rock, this 1994 live concert stands as a natural tribute to a legend who died in July 2024, ‘John Mayall Bluesbreakers North Sea Jazz 1994 full concert live’.
