Mark Wonder & The Rude Cut Band — N9, Eeklo, 2026

Full concert by Jamaican roots reggae singer Mark Wonder, backed by The Rude Cut Band, filmed at the N9 venue in Eeklo, Belgium, in 2026. Born in Kingston as Mark Andrew Thompson and shaped by the influence of Dennis Brown, Mark Wonder has established himself across a string of albums — from “Jeremiah” to “Dragon Slayer” — as one of the keepers of conscious roots reggae, with lyrics turned toward Rastafari spirituality, social justice and resistance. More recognized in Europe than on his home island, he tours there regularly, and this live capture shows him in a generous format carried by a tight band: round bass, one-drop drums, horns and backing vocals. The setlist runs through “Rebel,” “African People,” “Serious Conversation,” “Militant Soldier” and “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner,” in an authentic roots atmosphere. For lovers of roots reggae and Jamaican culture, this live concert video is a document faithful to the spirit of the genre. Running time: roughly 1 hr 26.
