Tab Benoit — Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival, New Orleans, 2025

Full filmed set by guitarist and singer Tab Benoit at the Crescent City Blues & BBQ Festival 2025 in New Orleans, captured by community radio station WWOZ. A major figure of Louisiana swamp blues, Tab Benoit embodies a tradition in which the blues mingles with bayou humidity, Southern groove and a steady commitment to preserving Louisiana’s wetlands. On stage, Telecaster in hand, he delivers a raw, economical and deeply expressive blues in which every note breathes. This live capture conveys the intimacy of an open-air concert in the birthplace of American music, before a crowd of connoisseurs. The festival, free and run by WWOZ, celebrates blues and Southern food culture every autumn. The full concert video is a fine testimony to Tab Benoit’s stagecraft, balancing feel, warmth and avowed roots. Worth discovering for the sincerity of the playing, the inhabited voice and the authenticity of a filmed live concert in the heart of New Orleans.
