Alfredo Rodríguez & friends — The Black Room Sessions, 2026

The Black Room Sessions welcomes Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodríguez, one of the most gifted musicians of his generation, for a jazz full concert recorded in studio in the spirit of an intimate, electric session. Brought to the international scene under the mentorship of Quincy Jones, Rodríguez fuses jazz, classical music and his Afro-Cuban roots into a virtuosic, deeply personal language. For the occasion he surrounds himself with a prestigious cast: singer and showman Cimafunk, percussionist Pedrito Martínez, drummer Michael Olivera, Jorge Glem on the Venezuelan cuatro, Han Beyli on bass, Gilmar Gomes on percussion and Magela Herrera on flute. Between instrumental dialogue, Latin groove and fiery improvisation, the capture documents a gathering in which Afro-Cuban jazz wins over a captivated audience. An ideal live filmed concert for discovering contemporary Latin jazz, this session brings together some of the leading voices of the new Cuban and Caribbean scene.
