Fink — FM4 Session, RadioKulturhaus, Vienna, 2017

Full live session by British musician Fink, recorded on 18 September 2017 at the RadioKulturhaus in Vienna for Austrian station FM4’s FM4 Session. Behind the name is Fin Greenall, a singer-songwriter with a deep, hushed voice who moved from electronic music to a stripped-down, bluesy and introspective folk, praised in particular for his collaborations and for songs such as “Warm Shadow” and “This Isn’t A Mistake.” In the acoustic, intimate setting of the FM4 Session, he unfolds eleven songs in which guitar, voice and spare arrangements leave all the room for emotion and lyrics. The capture, carefully handled in both sound and image, highlights the finesse of a restrained, understated performance. For lovers of folk, songwriting and demanding live sessions, this live concert video is an ideal gateway into Fink’s delicate world, and a reminder of how much weight a single voice and guitar can carry. Running time: roughly 1 hr 31, eleven songs on the complete setlist.
