This recording captures him on the festival’s main stage; the 2025 edition took place on 1 and 2 August. Backed notably by a horn section, he delivers Texas blues shaped by a pared-down guitar style, an economical phrasing and a repertoire rooted in shuffle, swing and early rhythm and blues. The live concert reflects a career built on loyalty to a vintage sound rather than technical display.
