Kenny Wayne Shepherd — Megève Blues Festival, 2026

Filmed live concert by American guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd at the 2026 Megève Blues Festival, captured in Megève, in the heart of the French Alps, near Mont Blanc. Discovered as a teenager in the 1990s, the Louisiana native has become one of the standard-bearers of contemporary blues-rock, an heir to Stevie Ray Vaughan and the great Texas masters. This full concert unfolds his festival set: incandescent riffs, saturated Stratocaster solos and stage-ready shuffles, carried by a band seasoned on international tours. The capture, produced by the festival’s crew against a mountain backdrop, conveys the warmth of a summer gathering that this year also brought together Troy Redfern, Ally Venable, Bette Smith, Nikki Hill and Coco Montoya. For fans of blues and electric guitar, this live concert offers a precise snapshot of the vitality of today’s blues-rock scene and of the generous playing of one of its most renowned performers, filmed in the French Alps.
