Ally Venable — Megève Blues Festival, 2026

Filmed live concert of Ally Venable at the Megève Blues Festival 2026, on the Pré Saint-Amour site in the French Alps. A Texan guitarist and singer who emerged very young, Ally Venable defends an electric blues-rock, fed by incisive slide and phrasing inherited from the Texas masters. Programmed on 1 August alongside headliners such as Kenny Wayne Shepherd, she delivers a festival set cut for the open air, between reworked covers and original compositions. The capture conveys the singular mountain atmosphere of this summer gathering, one of the rare high-altitude blues festivals in Europe. For the enthusiast, this live concert illustrates the vitality of a new generation of artists perpetuating the tradition of American blues-rock, carried here by a guitarist with frank playing and a powerful voice. A full concert representative of the dynamism of the contemporary blues scene, filmed in an unusual setting that adds to the flavour of the performance.
