Full concert of « Primăvara Simfonic » (Symphonic Spring) given by Tudor Gheorghe in 2016, in a version edited for television. A major figure of Romanian culture — actor, poet and performer — Tudor Gheorghe sets poetry and the seasons to music in grand symphonic shows much loved by audiences. For this edition he is joined by the Madrigal National Chamber Choir and the Romanian Radio National Orchestra, under the direction and orchestrations of Marius Hristescu. The result is a refined concert, in which the artist’s deep voice and theatrical phrasing dialogue with the colors of the symphony orchestra and the polyphonic richness of the choir. This full concert of about one hour twenty documents a singular form of popular art music, rooted in the Romanian language and tradition. Worth discovering for fans of symphonic music, choral singing and Eastern European cultural heritage, and for the scale of a show conceived as an orchestral poem.
