2CELLOS — Lisinski Hall, Zagreb, 2015

Full concert by 2CELLOS, the cello duo Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, recorded live at the Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb in June 2015. For this “Back to the Roots” concert, the two musicians return to their classical roots, accompanied by the Zagreb Soloists ensemble. The programme alternates great-repertoire pieces and solos: Ennio Morricone’s “Gabriel’s Oboe”, Astor Piazzolla’s “Oblivion”, Vivaldi’s Concerto for two violins, Bruch’s “Kol Nidrei”, Massenet’s “Méditation” from Thaïs, Bach’s Double Concerto for two violins, Monti’s “Csárdás”, before reworkings of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and U2’s “With Or Without You”, and an “Air on the G String” as a closer.
