Earth Tongue — Live on KEXP, 2026

A live performance by New Zealand duo Earth Tongue, filmed at the KEXP studios in Seattle in 2026. Made up of Gussie Larkin (guitar, vocals) and Ezra Simons (drums, vocals), the Wellington band shapes a dense psychedelic rock built on fuzz, heavy riffs and shared vocal harmonies. With only two players, Earth Tongue conjure a surprisingly wide wall of sound, somewhere between stoner, garage and 1970s retro psychedelia. This KEXP live session showcases the duo’s chemistry, the force of the drumming and the saturated guitar textures, all in the Seattle public radio station’s careful capture. You can see how, as a two-piece, the band hold the sonic space and never let it sag, working the build-ups and the sudden breaks. For fans of contemporary psychedelic rock and two-piece bands, this filmed full performance is a fine discovery from the other side of the world, poised between heaviness and melody. An entry that brings a distinctive colour and origin to Livconcert’s rock catalogue.
