Osees — Live on KEXP, 2026

A filmed live session by Osees, the psychedelic garage-rock band led by John Dwyer, recorded at the KEXP studios in Seattle in 2026. A prolific figure on the Californian scene, Dwyer drives his band — recognisable by its twin-drummer rhythm section — through a restless set that is at once repetitive krautrock and abrasive punk. The songs settle into hypnotic motifs, then erupt into saturated passages where guitar, keyboards and the double drumming answer one another. This KEXP live performance captures the trance of the material, the cutting riffs and the tense improvisations that define Osees on stage. The Seattle public radio station’s clean sound and close camerawork highlight the interplay between the players and the physical intensity of the performance, often lost on bigger stages. For fans of garage rock, psychedelia and proto-punk, this filmed full performance is a faithful distillation of the band’s raw energy, in an intimate, no-frills format. A fitting addition to Livconcert’s rock catalogue.
